Voices From Latin America
A look at contemporary Latin American history and culture from the perspective of historical memory and a critical analysis of how historical memories of the Cold War era are impacting contemporary Latin American society.

Systems Thinking
An understanding of the theories behind systems thinking and the practical methods of synthesis and analysis that have developed alongside system thinking's theoretical underpinnings. Case studies were developed based on systems methods of investigation.

Design Thinking
An understanding of the theory and practice of design thinking, its application to a wide range of issues and problems, and an opportunity to apply design thinking to a real-life innovation project.

Understanding Data
Articulation of the importance of understanding data in today's world, development of an ability to interpret data and test hypotheses, and utilize data to make decisions and solve problems.

Global Human Rights
An understanding of human rights instruments and the theoretical, cultural, and political foundations of the documents followed by development of human rights investigations and critical reporting skills.

Global Arts
An expansion of my thinking and feeling about "the arts." Global Arts provides a window into the artistic hearts of three cultures - Africa, Ireland, and Mexico - along with exploration of several "art world" issues that are not specific to any particular area of the globe.

Simple Living in a Complex Age
Experimentation of diverse notions and behaviors about simplicity once an understanding of the long history and various expressions of simplicity are attained. Personal simple living goals are developed and shared through journaling, blogging, and a website.

The Contemporary World
A critical interpretation of issues in the contemporary world, focusing mainly on the post World War II period, from the dropping of atomic bombs on Japan in August 1945, to the complex, high-tech world of today.

The Global Economy
Articulation of why it is important to understand today's international economy and an understanding of international economy and its major components: political and economic forces on globalization, international trade and trade policies, exchange rate systems, forms of regional international economic integration, and international economic institutions that govern the global economy.
